Chiller with Freecooling

Air-cooled cooling machines with integrated free cooling and hermetic scroll compressors with cooling capacities of 51-466 kW.

Free coolers can significantly reduce the energy requirement for cold water cooling without, for example, having to accept the technical disadvantages of cooling towers.

Extruders and presses in particular often provide very high return temperatures. The frequently used cooling towers cause problems such as:

  • Polluted water
  • Permanent water loss
  • Insufficient cooling at high ambient temperatures
  • Systems with multiple circuits when clean cooling water is needed

Save up to 70% energy with the use of a cooling machine with free cooling.

The warm return water is first cooled via the ambient temperature in a large internal free cooling coil and then goes into the evaporator of the cooling machine. This is controlled so that it only produces the difference with the desired flow temperature.

The use of the register for free cooling is therefore sufficient at low outside temperatures. In the summer the compressors switch on and the water cools down further.

This process is smoothly regulated so that energy savings of up to 70 percent can be achieved, compared to a conventional cooling machine without free cooling. The higher the cooling water temperature, the greater the energy-saving effect.

To be able to use the effect of free cooling in standard rental cooling machines, we switch a dry cooler for the corresponding cooling machine. The latter takes over the function of the free cooling register.

For permanent use, we also offer cooling machines with integrated free cooling for sale or rent.
